Wednedsay's post-practice tidbits
UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel was pleased again with the way practice went, saying the effort was very good as the Bruins ready to travel to BYU for Saturday's game.
Injury-wise, there was good news as defensive end Korey Bosworth took part in the majority of drills, a day after rolling his left ankle.
Running back Kahlil Bell did not practice, and, in the words of Neuheisel, is "very, very doubtful" to play against the Cougars.
On the depth chart, Darius Savage seems to have the advantage at the left guard position, taking many of the first-team reps ahead of Scott Glicksberg, and Rahim Moore took most of the reps at free safety with the first team defense, while Aaron Ware worked with the second team.
Also, freshman receiver Taylor Embree again showed off his exceptional hands, making a gorgeous one-handed catch in the end zone.

Any word if Dean will get some carries in this game?
Do you think Savage playing with the first team will help the running game? How has Craft looked the past 2 days?
Sean
Yeah, like the coaching staff is going to informs us how many carries Dean will have. Give BYU another guy to prepare for. Brilliant.
Here is the key. Ignore him and he will feel inferior, eventually shrivel up and go away. If this is the last bit of attention you get, we will all be better off.
I couldnt agree more G...
I recall a BYU player earlier in the week stating that the Cougars' defense is suspect. If so, expect ucla to score some points. And with its potent defense it should be able to hold down BYU better than Washington did. So I look for a 20-17 game, pick 'em.
Did Embree burn Norris in practice again?
Who doesn't burn Norris?? Worst CB since Jason Bell..
Jason Bell. That's funny. Can't believe that guy had a pretty long career in the NFL. We've had some pretty suspect corners in recent years - Teddy Lawrence, Joe Hunter, and Deon Lambert come to mind - but I truly think Norris is the worst of them all.
Seriously, Theriot could probably burn Norris. Kid has a lot of heart though and never gives up on a play.
If Walker says he's the best guy for a situation, than he is.
Do you think Rahim Moore is actually better than Aaron Ware?
