Another injury
As UCLA receiver Terrence Austin was lying motionless on the Autzen Stadium turf, two Oregon fans got into a fight in the first row behind UCLA's bench. One of the men tumbled over the edge and fell approximately five feet to the ground, landing awkwardly on his head and neck.
According to several witnesses in UCLA's traveling party, the man was convulsing while lying on the edge of the turf, and the game was held up while paramedics tended to him. I was told another person was led away in hand-cuffs. I will try to find out more today what transpired.

Thanks, Brian.
And just last week the duck peeps were saying Auzten is a nice place for opposing fans... hah, they try to kill their own!
so it was duck on duck?
Some information regarding the injury, reposting from a nearby fan at educk:
This is exactly what happened, as I am about 15-20 ft down/from the men involved in the accident behind the UCLA bench.
Two men, one younger maybe 20-22 and the older around 23-24, got into a scuffle over a seating arrangment in the front row on the 25 yard line. The bigger and older of the two, attacked the younger male, forcing them both to there feet.
As they scuffled and threw punches, the bigger of the two grabbed the other and proceeded to move toward the edge of the grass toward the drop off. They then toppled over and landed on the ground below, a 6-7 ft drop. The bigger male landed on top of the younger one, which landed on his neck/head.
My father, a nurse at Sacred Heart, ran over to help the younger guy. The bigger of the two was tackled and arrested immediatlely, but the younger male was unconcious and proceded to go into a seizure on the ground where he lay. His family and friends rushed the police officers trying to get to there family member and attack the other male involved. The police officers then let my father through and he then began processing what happened to the injured fan.
So far, all my dad knows is that the injured man went into a seizure and was non-responsive to any medical personnel there. He had a hematoma (a round ball of either blood or fluid) on the back of his neck. My dad says it did not look good, and seriously believes he may be paralyzed from the incident since he landed on his neck. He will get updates from the hospital later tonight, and I will update this thread with whatever he tells me.

I was on the field for the game and talked to a crowd control member next to the action who told me the younger guy also had a ruptured retina from the incident. On a side note, that PI / interception in the end zone was pure garbage!
My son and I attended last night's game and Autzen is a scary place. I have attended Bruin road games at all the Pac-10 schools and Oregon is easily the worst. The incident last night doesn't surprise me at all.
As a Duck alumni and attendee at last night's game, please let me apologize for the disgraceful manner in which the people there behaved. I hadn't been to a game in years and while I had heard our fans were rude, I hadn't realized that it was pandemic. It was inexcusable and responsible people here are trying to get things, but I don't have much hope for it. Personally, I think they should ban all fans from attending games until their attitude changes significantly.
Again, I am sorry for the horrible behavior. I am writing a letter to the alumni association to complain and I hope that if enough people do so, they will take us seriously. If fans can't show respect for the players or the game they are watching, they shouldn't be there in the first place. If they can't have respect for other human beings, then they shouldn't be let outside their houses.
I sincerely hope that sportsmanship isn't dead down there in Cal like it is up here.
