Answers, Part VI
Here is the sixth part:
did Ed Kezirian make it out to Wednesday's practice to carry on Ducky Drake's tradition in screaming at the team about the importance of beating Cal?
Yes, he made it there and a good time was had by all. The players loved it, and it was good to see Coach K (the one I can tolerate) again.
On game days at the Rose Bowl the team walks from the buses to the locker rooms through the tailgating area. Why doesn't Norm Chow walk with the team?
I didn't know he did not walk with the team. I will check it out and post the reason next week.
I've noticed (for years) that replays of controversial calls are never replayed on the big screen at the Rose Bowl. Do you know if this is a UCLA thing, a Pac-10 decree or an NCAA rule? Just wondering...
It is a Pac-10 decree. So, with the Pac-10 officiating, they must show about four or five replays a game on the big screen.
Does UCLA have a good shot at landing LB Kyle Van Noy, or it is a long shot at best?
I think it's a long shot.
Does UCLA have a good chance and landing Latu Hemuli, the DT from utah? Can they get him out for a visit?
I don't know if they can get him out for a visit, and I'm not sure UCLA's chances with him. I keep here conflicting things. That said, and from my experience covering UCLA, getting a kid out of Utah will be difficult.
UCLA's newest commit, Stan Hasiak, reports a GPA of 2.7 and an SAT of 1050. Will this put an end to fans trying to argue that top players can't get into UCLA because of "strict academic requirments?"
Well, by now he is not UCLA's newest commit. Second, who said those numbers were good enough to get him into UCLA?
Has Donovan Carter solved his conditioning issues that plagued him early in camp? Does the coaching staff believe that he can be a factor in the LB next year?
I know several members of the coaching staff believe he can be a big-time player in the future (not sure what season), but the conditioning issue will not be solved until the offseason, when he can train better and be in better shape.
Is Dyron Dye showing any interest in us?
Not anything worth writing about.
Who do you think runs a better blog, you or Wolf, and why?
Not for me to decide, although I do think we run our blogs in very different ways.

Where are the SAT and GPA numbers for Hasiak come from? Given that he has an offer he is qualified so obviously he must have better scores?

"On game days at the Rose Bowl the team walks from the buses to the locker rooms through the tailgating area. Why doesn't Norm Chow walk with the team?"
He once mentioned on a radio interview that he likes to drive to Rose Bowl with his wife on game day and let Rick Neuheisel handles the tradition.
Dude won the US a gold medal with his leadership and BD can't stand him? That's odd...what has Sha-shev-ski done?
