Answers, Part XX
I will have a few more sets of answers Saturday, as well as pre-game stuff and the in-game chat room open. Now, here is the 20th and final set of the answers today.
any shot at byron moore?
I don't think UCLA is interested anymore.
if we lost to stanford by 4 points or less, do you think Neuheisel would've been criticized for not going for the TD on 1st & goal from the 1 with 2 seconds left? It seems we've always managed to get a couple yards at the goalline whenever we stick B.Price in at fullback.
No, because there is not a moment this season where I felt comfortable UCLA would get two yards on a carry.
If Datone Jones gets injured, who's next in line, is it Moline? Any chance of Aboya scooting ahead of him to be the backup?
Moline is already hurt with back spasms and will not play for a second straight week, so David Carter or Chinonso Anyanwu are next in line. Aboya would be an interesting pick because I know folks inside the athletic department wondered if Aboya could play football.
suppose ryan hollins were still at ucla, or we had any athlete who was 7 ft tall and had good jumping ability... why hasn't the tactic of lining him up right behind the D-line and having him jump to block field goals ever been tried?
Well, I don't see Ben Howland lending a player to the football team for a few months, risking injury, to try and jump and block a field goal. Plus, can the guy jump in football gear. And there is also a rule making it illegal to jump and land on another player.
if osaar decided to move to WR in the offseason, is there any shot of him passing up Austin, Embree, Rosario, or Moutra? And if he doesn't have much of a chance, why should he consider moving there?
I don't know if he has a chance of passing those guys, but I do think he has a better chance of playing there than he has at quarterback. I don't think he will get back on the field as a quarterback.
is the plan for Love to split time with Lockett again, or did that plan get shelved once Lockett had a good game?
That plan was shelved because of the way Lockett played, and the way Love practiced.
is the reason we aren't hearing much about ben olson because we're practicing to line him up at TE after the bye and have him run a reverse and throw a bomb to Austin?
I think you've been playing play station too long.
Dave Smith of AM 830 made some rather disparaging comments about you on the radio the other day. What's your opinion of him?
I've never listened to him, and I don't care what he has to say about how I do my job.

There's a reason Dave Smith has constantly been moving around from station to station.
Brian, you work way too hard.
Brian
You the Man - I'm the Plant
Thanks, Keep up the good work
Dave Smith is a moron. Him and Vic the Brick need to be kicked out of LA.
I've heard a lot of things about Dave Smith from some of his co-workers over the years, mostly negative, so I'm not surprised that he has landed on a low-wattage AM station in Orange County...
Dave Who? Never heard of the guy.
Dave Smith is a clown... BD you do amazing job.
Brian:
I think you will see the passing game open up the running game today. We will have some good runs today!I think we will see a more wide open offense. It is time to put it all out there, we have nothing to lose. I think RN and Norm Chow will play it fast and loose today. Should be an entertaining game if nothing else.
you ARE the man, brian. question is...i've seen osaar play all through high school and dominate with his arm and his lgs. i am 100% convinced that he is by far a much better qb than forcier. is he a terrible qb or is the staff just unwilling to give him a fair shot because he was a dorrell recruit? seems like he'd be perfect for a spread offense. i mean he almost beat zonz & zona state last year!
