It's getting toward the end of the Q&A's, and here is the 22nd installment:

If any of the RB's in the rotation showed good hands would they be used for punt and kickoff returns in addition to their regular duties?
Not right now. Maybe Milton Knox can do it in the future, but the coaches are happy with Terrence Austin right now.

in your best judgment, have illegal recruiting practices contributed in any way, however small, to the unnatural, abominably high talent level for the usc football team...according to the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?
How do I know? I cover UCLA. Ask the USC beat writer. And what are the illegal practices? Sounds you like you have a long list of proven, documented violations and it is not just conjecture.

Will ucla rush for over 100 yards against the Ducks? Who would get the most rushing yards this week?
I'll say yes, and Kahlil Bell will be the leading rusher.

Do you think Chow has any thought of eventually using Coleman (at FB) and Aundre Dean (TB) in the same backfield...like he did with Lendale White and Reggie Bush?
Not at this moment, but it could be in the future. I'm sure it is something like Chane Moline and Kahlil Bell together in the backfield, although it may not be quite as dynamic as what they had at USC.

With Forcier seemingly "odd man out," and with Rashaan a non factor, do you know if UCLA would consider recruiting another QB for 2009 (a JC guy who might help or a prep who would redshirt) behind Craft, Prince, Crissman and Brehaut?
No, because UCLA doesn't need to have seven scholarship quarterbacks on the roster next year.

Was there an understanding between DG and RN that NO recruiting violations would be tolerated? Example PC attending two Loyola games, would that be a firable offense for RN.
I don't think it would be something Neuheisel would get fired for. It's a secondary violation that even the NCAA doesn't care that much about. What will get Neuheisel in trouble is if he has repeat offenses.

How many players do you anticipate will transfer out of the football program by season's end (which is typically the case after the first season of a new coach)?
I don't know. More than one but less than five.

Defense is playing soft the first half of the season, just like last year before they improved. Do you think Walker is getting too much mileage out of the 2006 season?
No, the Bruins need more experience and a pass rush they can count on. I think Walker is very good, but he is searching to find out what works with this defense, particularly how he can manufacture more pressure.

Josh Nunes (QB recruit from Upland) changed his mind about going to Tennessee, but did UCLA get back into the recruiting mix again before he verbally committed to Stanford?
Nope. UCLA got Richard Brehaut, who they wanted, and chose, ahead of Nunes in the summer.

Was UCLA trying to recruit former Virginia quarterback Pete Lalich before he transferred to Oregon State?
I heard recently there was an inquiry, but it never got serious.

Does Ben Olson have a good relationship with most of the players? Some games I do not see him around the sidelines, or talking to players before the games.
He gets along fine with them. He has his set of friends, like all the players, but Olson is an older guy with a family, so he may not relate as well to some of the teenagers on the team.
