Class-less Cal?
As UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel was conducting his post-game press conference underneath Memorial Stadium, a Cal fan started shouting and cursing at Neuheisel. The fan was about 25 feet away, and got to within 8 to 10 feet (there was separation of a shoulder-high wall).
The fan was apparently upset Neuheisel burned his time outs in the final minute, after the game was decided.
I asked Neuheisel if he was bothered by Cal throwing for a 10-yard touchdown with 1:55 to play and coach Jeff Tedford's Bears ahead 34-13.
"No comment,'' he said. "I mean, I think Jeff's a good guy, a good coach. I don't worry about that."

Nah, you can't let one Cal fan's actions speak on behalf of the entire program. Every school has a few fans that we're embarrassed to call one of our own.
And one more touchdown wasn't classless like the 69-0 score of the SCum vs. Washington State game.
Get your facts straight. SC attempted one pass in the second half against WSU and ended the first half at the Cougar 12 and opted to go to the locker room. Why don't you do your homework next time?
Cal fans have always been classless.
One of my first basketball games when I was a freshman at Ucla was Cal vs. Ucla. Before the game, as I was entering the Pauley; I heard several Cal fans chanting "sister school" and encouraging me to work on my SAT score.
Theres not alot of love between Rick and Jeff. Rick has been doing his fare share of Cal-bashing. Talking in the paper about "tough" academic standards and what not. Rick was calling TOs and CLEARLY indicating that they were still trying to play. Cal then has EVERY right to continue to execute their offense.
Factoid: Cal hasn't been in the Rose Bowl game since 1959.
Last year at the Rose Bowl, Cal fans were chanting "berkeley rejects" before the start of their loss to UCLA. Reminds me of the SF Giants, a lot of bragging and a lot of choking.
to those cal fans who think it's harder to get into berkeley than ucla...you're living in the past. that hasn't been true for decades. cal's a great academic school, but having to constantly state it just smells of extreme insecurity to me.

Am I the only one who sees the irony of this?
Stay classy, bruins!
Apparently you are... stay clueless, big guy.
Classless Cal fans? I have never heard of such things.
The funny thing is most of us got into Cal, too. We chose UCLA because we like the sun and better looking girls that shave their legs and wear deodorant.
