Quick update
Didn't get to spend much time in UCLA's locker room because of deadline, but in talking to players, they were disappointed with the loss but encouraged with the effort and the mental toughness to remain in the game in a hostile environment.
As for an update on UCLA receiver Terrence Austin, coach Rick Neuheisel had some positive news.
"He was talking and the doctors said it was precautionary,'' Neuheisel said. "We send our thoughts and prayers to Terrence and his family, and we hope that he'll be fine.''

Brian-
Do you think there is any recognition on the staff of Brett Lockett's performance? Our SS got KO'd by a quarterback, and missed many other tackles. Do you get ANY sense they are going to make a move here?
Same question with Kraft--- he could have had 7 picks!
Hey Brian,
Can you please check on the "breaking the plane" call on the kickoff from the first onside kick? I have never heard that the ball only has to break of the plane to be out of bounds.
The "Breaking the Plane" is the same as a punt that is shanked. Even if the ball lands out of bounds near the recruits at the 20 the line judge still runs up to the 37-40 where the ball crossed the line and is placed. Since the kickoff supposedly "broke the plane" the play was dead and penalty awarded due to the fact that the kickoff was out of bounds. Similar to the ball breaking the plane of the goal line.
