Dragovic not here...and here's why
Nikola Dragovic was arrested today.
This is from the City News Service. Will have more later.
A forward for the UCLA basketball team
was arrested today after a
fight with his former live-in girlfriend in the Palms area, police
said.
Nikola Dragovic, 20, was taken into custody around 4:20 p.m. in the
3200 block of Overland
Avenue, said April Harding of the Los Angeles Police Department.
"Apparently they'd broken up, and he went back to the apartment to
pick up his things," Harding
said. "His belongings were thrown out on the porch. He and the
ex-girlfriend began to argue. He
got mad and pushed her down.'
Dragovic was booked on suspicion of battery and was being held in
lieu of $20,000 bail.
In the 2007-2008 season, Dragovic appeared in 25 games, but never
started. He played 230
minutes, averaging 2.5 points, 1.4 rebounds, 0.2 assists and 0.2
blocks and 0.1 steals per game.

kick him off the team. Drug suspensions, people getting arrested. This is not the UCLA i grew up rooting for.
Perhaps one of those attorneys who represents the Trojies is looking for some pro bono work. If so, he'll be ready for the second half tonight!
To the guy that said throw Nik off the team, shut up. The guy had a fight with his live-ex that threw all of his stuff out, unless he beat her, it sounds like a big deal is being made out of not much.
I do believe it said he pushed her down. I do not want to pass judgment without knowing all the facts, but my initial reaction aligns with the guys that wants him off the team
mountains outta mole hills
I was convinced the Duke LaCrosse team did it too at first.
Now, I know better than to jump to conclusions.
How do we know she didn't physically attack him first?
If she did, he should have every right to defend himself.
There are some crazy women out there.
I hope he's not guilty, but if he is, then I would support unconditional release.
I'll withhold an opinion until some facts emerge.
I think Nikky Dragovich should be expelled from the Basketball Team. That is good discipline, and the kind that is needed for college athletes who break the law.
