Holiday cheer, UCLA style

This is from UCLA:
The UCLA team and football family will be having a Thanksgiving Dinner at the team hotel on Thursday night. The centerpieces from that dinner include canned and packaged goods for a Thanksgving dinner, as well as a $20 gift card to purchase a turkey.
The centerpieces are being donated from the UCLA Football Family to a shelter in the Phoenix area - UMOM New Day Centers. The shelter has a program called Next Step Housing - for families that were homeless and living in the shelter. Those families were moved from the shelter and given housing while they rebuild their lives.
The centerpieces will allow 40 families to enjoy a free holiday dinner.

Wonderful. I really hope Rick Neuheisel's wife really takes an active role in doing these kinds of projects. These are wonderful stories.

They should have announced this last week. Many of us would have donated for more centerpieces. Could have served hundreds of families.
