More on Williams
UCLA received a commitment from Mt. Sac offensive lineman Eddie Williams, but he needs to earn his Associate of Arts degree in order to gain admittance to UCLA.
Williams said he went on an unofficial trip to UCLA last week and informed Rick Neuheisel of his commitment to UCLA. He said he'll need to take four or five classes this semester and one in the summer, he said.
``We chatted about what I needed to do to get into UCLA,'' Williams said. ``I have to really set my mind to it and accept the challenge.''

4 or 5 classes this semester? oh is that all, should be no problem im sure!
are these classes taken so as to boost his gpa to a certain minimum? or are they for a certain number of units to qualify? etc...
It would take a Lourdes-like miracle for Williams to get his AA...if he said he needed "4 or 5 classes" in the upcoming semester starting in late January, that means it's FIVE classes not four...since 4 courses constitutes a full load he should do that to ensure he passes those and then carry over that fifth course into the summer to go along with that other one of which he already committed which would give him two for summer school just so he graduates in August...WHEW! Good luck to this young man...
JC players are a crap shoot, but at least Rick is trying to address a real problem for next year. Brain how many scholarships is Rick going to use on JC players? Looks like next year is going to be a rough one.
