Neuheisel on Craft

| | Comments (0) |

Rick Neuheisel had a chance to respond to Tom Craft's critical comments about the treatment of his son, Kevin Craft, in today's article that ran in the Daily News. And when he was asked about the performance of Craft the last two weeks, he took the opportunity to respond again and had an interesting comment wondering ``where we'd be without him.''

``I'm a big fan of Kevin,'' Neuheisel said. ``Much has been said about my antics on the sideline. I wonder where we'd be without him. He's been terrific in terms of not making excuses. He's taken a lot of hits and keeps getting up. He's a very resilient kid and very tough-minded. I hope good things for him. If he keeps working at it, there's no reason to think he's not going to improve.''

As for the last two weeks?
``I like the way he practiced, we'll have to wait and see how it turns out in the game. There's no reason for him not to go out and play really efficiently.''
