Night owl special

In watching practice and talking with QB Ben Olson afterward, I get the sense there is a chance (albeit small) that he is available for Washington.
"I think coach Chow will do a good job of putting me in situations that he thinks I can handle at this point, physically,'' he said.
I wrote more about it in Wednesday's paper.

This is pretty big news. At least now the coaching staff may have an alternate option if Kevin plays poorly. I hate seeing the kid get yelled at on the sidelines only to be thrown into the fire again.

I for one want to see Olson play. I've given up on Craft...

Why do I keep seeing images of Olson limping his way into the SC game and scraping together a touchdown and 2 field goals, the bruins winning a rag-tag game at 13-10, and Olson going down in history in ucla lore?

It would be a fairy tale ending to his UCLA career. Out on a good note. I am all for that. He's suffered a lot with injuries.

Poor Offensive Line + His Lack of Agility = Bad Night for Olson and UCLA

I say we give Olson a shot during one of the quarters against Udub. Although he has been hurt most of his UCLA career, he has been through our programs ups and downs. I'm ok with it as long as Coach Chow is ok with putting him in. In Chow We Trust!

Wow, I remember all the comments from preseason when Olson got hurt and how everyone was over him, and now he is your new savior! (C.Force is out?) You guys must have a lot of frequent ride miles on your bandwagon cards

John Henry said:

I don't think anyone considers Olson to be our savior. I think most people just want to give him a shot. The season is practically over. C-force should obviously get game time xperience to help us out for next season.

sn't he labeled southpaw jesus? I guess no one considered him a savior to the program. I seem to recall Brian thinking Dorrells future being tied to him also.

C'mon Ben, you can lead us to 3 wins. Think Kirk Gibson in game 1 of the '88 series against the Oakland A's, but only X 3!!!

I never thought I would see the day that I would be rooting to see Ben on the field again

Ben has been extremely helpful in the recruitment of Kevin Prince, Manti Te'o and Zac Stout. He deserves our thanks.

I think Ben has been great for the program, I hope that if he does get playing time that he doesnt get another injury as a final gesture from the ucla football program.

As for C.Force getting playing time to help out for next season... sorry to let you guys know (even though im sure you already do) but he is not our future. If he was then he would be getting playig time. I know you all know more than CRN and Chow, but I would guess they have thought of that already.
