No finger-pointing?
UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker said he does not expect his defensive players to point the finger at the offense as the reason for this season's woes.
"That's one thing we're not going to tolerate,'' Walker said. "We're not going to point fingers. It's not like we're the '85 Bears, either. We've got to keep worrying about ourselves, too. That's something we have to keep harping on.
"Is it frustrating? Sure, but we're here to teach. It's football, we'll go back and watch the tape again and try to clean up some of our own mistakes."

This whole offense/defense thing is extremely tiresome and media- contrived. There isn't a night 'n day difference here like 1998. Our defense has played well the last two games. But overall they've been mediocre, and mediocrity never gives license to finger-pointing. And if the defense didn't blow it against a pretty lousy Fresno State, our bowl chances would actually be feasible right now.
This has no business being a topic.
he speaks like a true head coach. The university that takes a "risk" on DeWayne will be rewarded greatly
I know the offensive woes aren't all his fault, but it just seems to me that Craft hasn't improved much (if at all) since the beginning of the season. Even when he has time, he seems to miss open receivers as much as he did the first couple games. I gotta believe Big Ben will be starting vs ASU if not next week. I know Craft gives us 100%, but a rusty Olson just might be better than the way Craft is currently playing.
