No Morgan

UCLA freshman center J'mison Morgan did not play against Michigan, and I asked UCLA coach Ben Howland about it.
"It's a hard game for both of those freshman big guys (Drew Gordon being the other) to match up against them defensively because they're so out on the perimeter,'' Howland said. "(Morgan) is a center used to playing around the basket, so I think it would be very difficult for J'mison.''
Gordon played minutes, all in the first half. In fact, frosh guard Jerime Anderson played only four minutes, all in the first half, and frosh wing Malcolm Lee played six minutes, two in the second half.

Did not see the game, but based on the usual sour-grapes' comments in the prior post I would guess ucla lost.

To that I only say 'win with humility, lose with class.'

America hates a poor loser.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
