QB talk

| | Comments (3) |

Here is the football notebook from today's paper, in which Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel talks about the play of quarterback Kevin Craft.
And here is one other thing Neuheisel said about a talk he had with Craft after the game.
"I admire how much he works and prepares, but we have to stop throwing it to the other team,'' Neuheisel said. "It's as simple as that. But, as I said, there are some that are on other people.''

How can Neuheisel possibly know that Kraft is our best option when Forcier has had only garbage time game experience. How could Forcier possibly do any worse?
This is by far the worst UCLA offense I have ever witnessed in my 35 years of life. We have absolutly ZERO chance of beating SC and we probably have ZERO chance of scoring a touchdown. The defense should be pissed, unlike the offense they have improved since the season started. Kevin Kraft and the entire offense has increasingly SUCKED as the season has progressed.
Neuheisel has failed at coaching this kid and there has been no improvement in his game. Kiss Walker goodbye because there is nothing more for him to prove here and quite frankly our disapointing football program is holding him back from realizing his great potential

can you confirm.. did Craft just set the all time UCLA record for most interceptions?
I know he was at 16 prior to this game, and the record was 19 I believe.

Thanks

correction, single-season record, not all time.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
