Thoughts on the game?

| | Comments (22) |

UCLA flans started to flee for the exits with about 9 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Oregon State beat UCLA 34-6. The Bruins have just three games left and must win all three in order to become bowl eligible.
What are your thoughts?

Bad o-line, bad quarterbacking, bad alot of stuff. Run D was pretty good most of the night, and the secondary played pretty well. D as a whole was ok, except for the pass rush on a lot of plays.

Forcier wasn't any better than Craft unfortunately. But hey, at least he can tackle.

just an ugly game all around for these guys

Well, its a good thing I'm at the library doing something productive rather than watching this debacle.

These coaches are horrible. The football program needs to be taken away and the scholarships should be given to basketball.

hey can anybody answer these question for me. Is RN and Norm Chow are they smart or are they dump? if your answer is that they are smart so why are we still play Craft oh yeah because Craft gave us the best chance to win but then can you answer in what way he gave us the best chance to win by 1) throw pick 2) overthrown your receiver 3)throwing pick again 4) overthrown receivers again. etc.

Yeah and Forcier did so awesome when he came in

If UCLA football was a race horse, they would ... shoot, you know the answer!

If I were CRN, I'd tell this team to take the week off and be on the plane to washington on friday. I'll spend the week recruiting football players.

There isnt a lack of effort for this team, the team just sucks...plain and simple. I havent seen an offense this bad in a long long time. They're slow and cant make people miss or get yards after a hit. Absolutely pathetic.

I have a question for Brian: Norm Chow - is he a myth? This year's offense makes last year's look like an NFL team. Maybe it's time to ask: Is Norm Chow overrated? Could that be why he was fired by his last team?

If this is the best that we can put on the field, that is just pathetic. When this game got out of control in the 4th i would have liked to see forcier. Would he have done better? Probably not. However, watching Craft continue to be that pathetic, is just unacceptable, we weren't winning that game, we probably wont win another, so wtf not put in some young talent and see what they can do? Not claiming to know more than chow, or CRN, but at some point, just stop the bleeding and give us something to look forward to.

0 TDs in 2 games Craft is the worst qb in Ucla history, defense is playing with no help.

i know we need patience, but it is exausting to go to the games. In time we will be better i know that. We were in a position of going nowhere and hopefully we are in a better position. Duhrell was not going to get us anywhere. Still it is hard to take it when your offense cannot score a touchdown at home. I really think Washington will be a tough game for us, as sad as that sounds.

The offensive line stinks. They miss blocks. They don't have the strength to push anyone. They can't open holes. They can't pass block. That is the main problem. Craft would be a better QB if he had a better line, meaning he would go from horrible to average, and perhaps serviceable. Think about it--we lost Ben Olson and Patrick Cowan. But even they would struggle with this line, and probably would have been injured by now. At least Craft can take hits and hasn't been injured yet.

considering we only scored 6 points, all of which were made by forbath! It's amazing that he was never once mentioned in any of the posts during the game

I thought it was a physical, hard fought game between two VERY impressive collections of hard-working student athletes who have obviously honed their skills to a high level while also finding time to enrich their minds at great institutions of higher learning. It also occurs to me that we suck a$$ through a straw.

Were you asking for comments on fans leaving early? Well, I've got a 2.5 hour drive back home, so no use delaying that for a game that's out of hand. But don't question my commitment...I'm the one spending 5 hours driving week and week to see this!!

"duhrell" may not have taken us to the National Bowl Championship but he never (even in his first season) took us this far down. We are almost last in the Pac 10 standings.
I hope DumpDorrell and all his followers are happy now.
I, myself, feel very let down. All the hype for nothing.

There's no shame in losing to Oregon State. They're the Pac-10 leader for a reason.

I say blame mr cheap-o guerrero. If he'd have ponied up the do-re-me, 'duhrell" would have been able to keep the best coaches we had--cable, embree, and bienemy and we'd be leading the pac 10 now instead of crying in our beer. I'm sure guerrero ended up paying a lot more for the losers we have now, so who's really at fault here?
