Welcome to Washington

In today's notebook, I wrote that Rick Neuheisel said he briefly attended a gathering in Washington Friday night in his honor. Some of his friends from California, Washington and even Maryland came to celebrate his return to college football. Asked what the reception was like, Neuheisel said laughing: ``They were all my friends. That was the easy part.''
