Answers, Part II
Folks, I will host a chat during UCLA's basketball game Saturday. The chat will begin at 7:20 p.m. Now, here is set No. 2:
Do you think Sarkisian's hire will impact current UCLA verbal pledges?
None what so ever.
Is CRN trying to get out of any future games that were scheduled under CKD's watch? Is there any talk of scheduling Notre Dame for future years?
He is not trying to get out of any games, and scheduling Notre Dame is very difficult. Those schedules are done 10 years in advance.
When you talk to potential recruits, are they more positive about the future of the program than in past years?
No, not really. Recruits are always positive because they don't want to come across as being arrogant or disrespectful. What these kids say now is the same thing the kids have been saying since I began covering UCLA in 2003.
Do you still believe that none of the SC commits will flip to UCLA? (Hall, Presley, Carrol, Flournoy)
I may change my mind on that. Perhaps Presley will flip to UCLA. Just a guess, but I have an inkling.
How many silent commits does UCLA have that you know of? I know you said one, but I have heard that there are two.
Yes, there is a second one. I know UCLA is counting that person as a silent, but I don't think it's a done deal that player No. 2 goes to UCLA. The first player, providing he gets past admissions, I believe will wind up at UCLA (Yes, let the guessing begin).
I know you get asked this every Q&A session...so apologies in advance. Has the staff made any progress with Manti Teo? What are the odds he ends up a Bruin?
Yes, they are making progress. They are staying on him big-time and already sent Norm Chow and Chuck Bullough out to see him. As far as odds, who am I, Steve Wynn? I'm done with the odds thing, because next folks will ask for the over/under on a date of a commit.
I heard Charles Siddoway is down to Alabama and UCLA? Do you see the Bruins ending up with his commitment?
I do not seeing UCLA ending up with Siddoway, but will hold off why until the appropriate time.
Do you think Neuheisel's dedication and enthusiasm on the recruiting trail will pay off with a top-10 recruiting class in 2010?
That remains to be seen. He hasn't even finished the 2009 class, so I think it may be a ad premature to talk about how the 2010 class will look.

See, no comments.
"I do not seeing UCLA ending up with Siddoway, but will hold off why until the appropriate time."
I bet one (or even both) of the silent commits are O-Lineman that UCLA is waiting to clear admissions, thus the reason we don't get Siddoway. He even said himself that he hasn't been contacted by UCLA in weeks...
Eh, Dohn...am I close???
I believe Norm Chow is an excellent coordinator but may not be the best person to talk to a recruit. That seems to be the reason he hasn't gotten his own head coaching job.
I'd also appreciate VB to stick to the topics on hand instead of making everything about him.
He is the Bruin version of Lawyer John.
"Yes, there is a second one [silent commit]. I know UCLA is counting that person as a silent, but I don't think it's a done deal that player No. 2 goes to UCLA... (Yes, let the guessing begin)"
I have conducted an internal investigation and I am ready to release the results. The second silent commit is Randall Carroll.
LAWYER JOHN
My guess is DeShaun Foster from Tustin
