Here is set No. 14:

Apparently Branden Warner is not going to be there for Spring ball. What's the best case senario for him to enroll at UCLA assuming of course he can attend UCLA.
Not sure where you got the information from, but I believe the plan is for him to enroll in time for spring practice.

When will we most likely know which assistant coaches are leaving due to no longer getting their NFL salary?
I would think you will know some things by mid-January, and then another wave of possible moves after signing day.

What's the soonest after a UCLA football or BB game that you've had to file your game story? When your deadline is imminent, is there someone else who gets postgame quotes for you?
After? Sometimes before. The UCLA-LMU hoops game I filed about 10 seconds after the game ended, then did a re-write for second edition. And I get my own quotes. I'm a professional, and I know how to do my job. I don't need others helping me in that vain.

After having watched one full season of Coach RN and Co. coach football, what are your impressions of the coaching staff? What do you think they do well coaching-wise? What do you think they can improve upon as a staff or individually? Are there any deficiencies that should be addressed?
I think the staff did a great job. I was very impressed with them, but there was such little talent to work with, it was hard to get a read on how dynamic they can be. It was a bad situation on so many levels because of the lack of talent that I really believe most people have no idea how good of a job this staff did, beginning with getting the players to compete hard every game.

Do you have any additional insight as to CRN's motivation to get a law degree and whether he has ever used it professionally?
I don't know the motivation, or if he used it.

Do you think Aboya has done enough this season to get bigger contract offers when he turns pro? If I recall correctly, the ones he got during the offseason weren't very lucrative.
It's nine games. The season is a quarter of the way over. Can we wait until he plays against a few more good teams before making this determination?

Aren't you concerned that the credit crunch could force Liverpool to take drastic measures like selling some of its top players? They have a massive amount of debt on their books.
I am concerned about it, but I would hope someone else would step in and do something about it before it got to the point of selling players, especially given the Reds' stature in table.

byron moore's parents going to treat RN to dinner? already have?
I'm not sure UCLA wants to travel down that road.

It appears that Coach Rick Neuheisel is not a member of the California State Bar. My legal secretary performed an internal investigation and those are the results. Cheers!

You mean you took the 10 seconds that it takes to look that up on the california bar website?

I think Rick is a member of the Arizone bar in his home state (where he went to high school, Tempe) and his sister is a lawyer there too. He probably waived into the DC bar (i.e., didn't take the test for admittance, just paid the fee).

Rick's dad and sister are both attorneys and practice law together. In fact, I believe his dad even teaches (or taught) law at ASU. Law's sort of one line of work in their family, from what I gather.
