Here is the 23rd set as I wind closer to the end:

The other day during the basketball chat you mentioned UCLA had an "ace in the hole" with Hasiak. What did you mean? IS he simply solid on UCLA or does UCLA have something to lure him if he starts to reconsider?
I was waiting for someone to ask this question, but I cannot get into it at this point. I will when the time comes, but not at this point. Sorry, but let me just say UCLA has a plan to keep Hasiak on board if he begins to waver big time.

Are you annoyed by the Bruin Shuffle at the Rose Bowl as much as I am?
No, but the music that accompanies it is something you would find at a high school game. It's so amateurish.

Did you notice early in the USC game when Raymond Carter went down before getting hit after a short run? Do you think he is still a little gun shy? He did take a big hit early in the season.
No, I thought he slipped on the turf. I don't think he's gun shy of taking a hit.

Can a school have a player walk on then award him a scholarship after fall camp to get around the 25 scholie limit?
No, because a scholarship must be assigned to a certain class. But in order for it to be assigned to the one coming up, a player cannot enroll in school until January, at the earliest.

Is there a limit to the number of times a coach can a home visit with a recruit?
Yup. A coach can visit once.

What quarterback is a similar player to Kevin Prince? Just in terms of style, not saying if he's like Joe Montana then he's going to be as good as him.
I don't know. I haven't seen enough of him to make that kind of determination. He his a big kid with a strong arm. He stands in the pocket and can throw, but also has some mobility to make plays with his feet.

After watching RN for a full season, what are you most impressed about? Where do you think he fell short?
I was impressed with how hard the coaching staff got the kids to play. Even though the results were awful, the effort was always good. Even in the blowout to BYU, the effort was solid. In terms of falling short, it is too hard for me to say because the talent was so bad. Perhaps in saying he wanted to contend for the league title create unrealistic expectations for many folks.

What are the most prevailing recruiting needs left?
Defensive tackle. And I would also like to see UCLA get another defensive end and an offensive tackle.

How close was Dewayne Walker to getting the UCLA head coaching job?
In my mind, quasi close. I thought Neuheisel was the lead guy after the first wave of targets told UCLA they were not interested.

USC's supposed to be making a run for Hasiak, I'm guessing UCLA will have to pull out its bargaining chip. It should be interesting to see how far they'll go to keep him.

Hah, that is the strangest comment ever. What do they have, incriminating photos? Documentation of his involvement with the assassination of JFK? Weird.

Can anyone see the "ace in the hole" as being anything but negative?

It reeks of blackmail or bribery.
