Craft gets a hand

Patrick Cowan, UCLA's graduate student assistant who still wears his quarterback jersey over his sweatshirt during practice, has helped tutor Kevin Craft this year. I'll have more in tomorrow's paper about their relationship, but here's a little bit from Craft on Cowan.
``He knows exactly what I'm going through on the field, when I get yelled at,'' Craft said. ``If I throw a pick how I feel, if I do something good how I feel. He knows all that. Like I said, he knows exactly what's going on out there. I don't think you can have an understanding unless you've played the position. He has.''
