It was a hard fought game against a much better and more talented U$C Team. I was proud that they never gave up. We will be ok.

Go Bruins!

No offense, We suck!!!!!

Craft was crap...can't put the blame on the offensive line as he had time in the pocket and still missed open receivers.

Yes, but at least he didn't give up any points.

Craft wasn't that bad actually...I saw a lot of dropped passes. I still hold firm that the offense wasn't as poor as it was because of him. He clearly isn't Tim Tebow, but he needs to be given some credit. He's one tough kid!

If not for the fumble it would have been a shut out.

We did not play to win.

I believe we had 4 3rd down and 1s and we punted each and every time!

How does that make any sense?

Despite the loss, I think this probably was the best game played of all season.

The squad managed not to turn the ball over when it counted and held the Trojans to only four touchdowns. Penalities made things real difficult for the squad to overcome. It also would've been nice for the offense to have had longer posession of the ball.

Good game. Glad I spent my post-Repeal Day at the Rose Bowl.

At least USC missed all three field goal attempts...

slick new weaasel has given us the worst record in over 40 years

I think we need to take it easy on Neu and get some perspective... at the beginning of the season we lost first string qb, 2nd string qb, 1 string rb, first string receiver, some o-line guys.. hard to make a cohesive offensive unit out of that, for one reason or another.

Regardless, there were a lot of penalties and I'm not sure what think about that.

... on another note, Kai Forbath had some monster punts...I'm not to proud of the fact that we had to take so many punts, but man he can boot the ball.

how pathetic to be proud of our punter

UCLA is a 4 win team. They will be lucky to win 6 next year.

Sorry, I meant Aaron Perez.. brain fart

Kristen is right, the lack of discipline was shocking. How is this team better than Dorrells teams?

about the event tonight......

oscar how could u go out like that???
wow at least end it throwing punches...
pacman is legit, true master of his craft (no pun intended)

well i do hope craft all the best, he gave it the good ol college effort. i really think he should transfer to a proper place to finish his career.

that was really better than i couldve imagined, no one can deny that our team has HEART, and like that dude said at halftime, "buy stock in UCLA!" im looking forward to next season.

GO BRUINZ!!

Can someone who was at the game clarify something? Several articles I've read (the Daily News and elsewhere) mention booing when Neuheisel spoke to the crowd after the game. Who was booing--Bruin fans or Trojan fans?

Jill Painter Author Profile Page said:

USC fans were booing. There weren't many UCLA fans left.

this is not ncaa football 2009, or any other video game. in real life football, you punt the ball on 4th down, unless in an extreme circumstance.

Thoughts....

If our offense had any sort of rhythm or CRN thought we would be able to move the ball, I think we would have gone for some of those 4th downs. I think we probably had a better chance pulling an Arizona State (scoring 4 Defensive TD's off turnovers) but didn't. The final score was respectable and we were in the game which will help in off-season recruiting.

Craft is tough and tries really hard, but I think next year will be Prince or Brehaut.

D Walker should hold out for something better unless they are throwing massive money at him (which they probably are not...

We beat the spread!!!!!

I can't believe nobody else mentioned it... Hopefully next year we can beat the spread by more.

Ohhh and the posster who asked why Neu is any better than Dorrell.... are you kidding me? I was a big fan of K. Dorrell's on field coaching... but this year is proof he needed to go. The lack of talent this UCLA team had was shocking. College footbal is all about recruiting and Dorrel just didn't get it done. Now lets hope Neu can.
