Flournoy update
I just talked to Birmingham of Lake Balboa's DeVon Flournoy, and he told me that he will take a recruiting trip to UCLA next month. Flournoy is a USC commit, but here's how he characterized that commitment to USC: ``It's still strong, but anything can happen.''

Well, this is not good news for the football programme across town. Probably because the programme across town is busy preparing for Paterno State in the Rose Bowl game, they have momentarily taken their eyes off the recruiting game.
No doubt this young man may have been influenced by being told or reading on the Internets that Coach Ken Norton, Jr. was being transferred over to the UCLA programme. Never underestimate the gullibility of jurors or teenagers.
For the sake of the rivalry, I wish both schools much good luck this recruiting season. Cheers!
What I am hoping is that Kenny doesn't begin telling recruits that Karl is coming back as our WR coach next year. Then again, with KNJ I wouldn't be surprised.
You know, I really don't feel he would be all that influenced by that, considering he plays on the offensive side of the ball (WR).
Sir Peter, many gracious thanks for your pointed comment. The point is taken. However, it is well known and confirmed on the Internets that Ken Norton, Jr. has the ability and God-given talent to coach offensive football, too. His talents are so many that he even tried his hand at boxing and had a brilliant career there, too, earning a world title or two or three.
So, yes, no doubt that this young teenager may have been influenced by the Transfer of Ken Norton Jr. to UCLA as fully-documented on the Internets. Cheers!

Same type of comments we heard from MP...that turned out well
I have a better feeling with Flournoy than I do with Carroll. I don't think we land either of them but the fact that they are wavering from SC is a good sign for things to come.
God-given talent? No comment.
Fellow Bruins
I know others make fun of us for being the Champions of the Offseason, but things are going so great this offseason that we may be relevent for at least the first several weeks of the actual season!
The mediocrity of the Donahue years may soon be within our grasp
Hope Devon likes special/scout teams until his SR year at SC. He may see a couple of passes if those recruited over him get injured.

I love the stats Fan4Life...thanks for taking the time to research it and post. Awesome stuff to all those high school kids that are listening to Petey's tall tales.
Why do I have to read the comments to find out what position this recruit plays? Where's Jill Painter?
