Jrue's defensive responsibilities

| | Comments (0) |

Jrue Holiday will again guard an opponent's best player in DePaul's Dar Tucker, who's averaging 20.2 points per game. A.J. Abrams scored 31 points in UCLA's loss to Texas, which was a good experience for the freshman. Darren Collison think it's a good thing Holiday is drawing these assignments.
``Arron Afflalo, his first year, he came into a program where he had to guard the other team's best player,'' Collison said. ``I think that's what Coach Howland is trying to do with Jrue Holiday. He's talented and athletic enough to guard the best player. He might be young, but you can't punish him because he's young. As he gets more familiar with how to guard these players, he'll be an outstanding defensive player.''
