Not bad, Brian. Although, I think you have Pittsburgh too high. I think right now they are in the top 10, but not necessarily top 5. And I think Gonzaga should still be top 10 despite the loss to Zona. Other than that, I think you have it just about right to the extent you were waiting for my input.

P.S. VB and I kept an eye on Jill at the Wooden and are happy to report she did not shirk her duties. As it turned out, we were about 12 row up in the corner near Jill. So, it was easy to monitor her activity. The person sitting to her right (she can tell you who it was) spent most of the time checking out the UCLA Dance Team that was stationed imediately in front of him on the baseline. I don;t think he watched much of the game. (VB and I were envious of his seat location!)

I know Arizona State almost lost, but did they really deserve to fall that much?

DOHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're back. Don't worry, I took care of the blog while you were gone. And I'm proud to report that I only had one comment deleted this week. Usually I average about 3-4 deleted per week.

Other than that, pretty much business as usual. We tried to hang out with Jill at the Wooden, but she was too busy for the UBTA. But at least she waved back to us when we waved at her.

About Inside UCLA

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
