Can't agree with Michigan State at #3 after they got blown out by Maryland...
Gonzaga looks like they'll be the West #1. They looked pretty tough against Tennessee and Maryland.
msu lost
no matter how hard gonzaga tries, they will not be able to win the pac 10 this year. which is going is going to lead to the the west #1
the placement of UCLA seems about right, but I still think UCLA is going to have to fight to be regarded as a top 15 team.
Mich State got blown out by Maryland...know way they are No. 3. Looks like Brian missed one here!
The #1 team in the west bracket doesn't necessarily have to be a west coast team.
Great poll, only the Michigan State placement confuses me a bit.
I absolutely agree with UCLA's place, they have Thursday to prove they deserve a better ranking.
I don't understand how Louisville is ranked ahead of UCLA in the AP Poll though. I do not see the logic there. UCLA lost to a 5-1 Big Ten team on the rise by one shot, and Louisville lost to a 3-2 Sun Belt team 68-54. Granted the score is farther apart due to intentional fouls, but they still missed their shots and were out-rebounded by a team who lost to Murray St. 89-61. Seems odd to me.
Also, is it just me or is the Big East receiving to much credit?
Marquette lost to an average Dayton team convincingly.
Louisville lost to a below-average Western Kentucky.
UCONN and Pitt are exceptionally talented and great teams, and Notre Dame is very good, but after that it gets a bit hazy.
So far the ACC is doing extremely well as North Carolina, Duke, Clemson, Florida St, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and N.C. State are all undefeated and Miami lost to a very good UCONN team.
And also, the Pac-10 while far, far down this year has not done as bad as I thought. Stanford has looked pretty good, albeit, against mediocre teams. USC has been a letdown. Washington St. has looked pretty good, defensively solid as usual. Cal and Ariz St. look decent as well. Also, I think Washington could be the best 3-3 team out there, losing to two top-25 teams, looking offensively potent and I think they are just going to grow and grow as the season progresses.
I don't think the Pac-10 has merited any love yet, UCLA has not been spectacular BUT, I just think the Big East has been blown out of proportion. Anyone agree?
Michigan State #3? Really?
I think Brian was too busy watching our (admittedly terrible) football team to notice that Michigan State got blown out. Definitely missed that one Brian. Keep up the thorough reporting!
YOUR RANKINGS SUCK!
