Here is the story I wrote for today's paper on the defensive coordinator situation, although I believe the headline (which I do not write) is a bit misleading.
In talking to sources, one recurring theme I keep hearing is coach Rick Neuheisel wants to try to keep the continuity of the staff intact.
I remember when DeWayne Walker was in line to be head coach also.
I'm hearing that Larry Johnson, LBer's coach at PSU is interviewing for the DC position at Illinois. CRN should give this guy a call too.
