What makes Darren Collison so good at shooting free throws? His attitude tells me a lot about it.
After he had his school record streak of 43 straight made snapped with a miss against USC, I joked with him that he needed to practice more and get better.
"I really do need to work on my free throw shooting,'' he said. "I'm so mad I missed that last free throw with (four seconds left)."
Collison was 5 for 7 against the Trojans, missing one more free throw in the game then he did in the 14 games entering the season.

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
Yup, been confirmed. Stan hasiak switched over to Kal. he failed one of his classes and is a LONGSHOT to make it to UCLA, and I mean LONGSHOT.

Makes no sense - if you can't get into one UC school, try another.
We are going to sorely miss DC after this season. Other players have always gotten the hype (besides this season) and he has been the general through most all of it.
The way Dohnie writes you would think DC is British:

Eagle, Dohn doesn't post horse crap on his blog. Keep your 8th grade rumors to yourself. (That 8th grade comment was in honor of BruinFBBB).

That last miss by Collison was a big one because it kept SC "in the game" with 4-seconds and down 4-points. As SC's DeRozan set up for a 3-pointer the Trojans were yelling at the bruins to foul him (for a possible tying 4-point play). It did look as if the bruins fouled him but it was moot because the shot was not good.

Saw that Hasiak switched to Cal.. its on Rivals. Of course, it doesn't mention why that happened, so the failing a class theory remains total speculation.
