Howland tidbits

| | Comments (1) |

UCLA coach Ben Howland met with the media today, and said guard Malcolm Lee's knee "seemed to be doing good" after his 30 minute individual workout Tuesday. However, Howland said Lee was "really winded."
Lee availability for Sunday's game at USC is to be determined.
A few other things Howland said: UCLA needed to rebound better, which begins with boxing out and also with more emphasis put on it. Rebounding is still a "major, major" issue for UCLA, Howland said.
The Bruins were off Monday and Tuesday, but Monday was a long day because of travel issues. UCLA's trip home was delayed because of snow in Seattle (the team went out of Eugene and through Seattle), and Howland said he did not get to his home until 3 a.m.
*This post was edited to read UCLA originally flew out of Eugene, which I know, since I saw the team that airport.

Why is it that Dohn flew out of Eugene but the players had to go to Portland, then hit Seattle? That is the most ridiculous itinerary I've ever heard of. Manny Ramirez should go beat down whichever traveling secretary arranged this!
