Verner talks
UCLA cornerback Alterraun Verner talking about his decision to come back for his senior season:
"It was close,'' Verner said. "I said before I was 50-50, and I really was. I felt it was partly ready to go to the next level, but I'm coming back."

This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.
ATV is a stud. Our secondary will be rock solid next year and for years to come.
I love ATV, but he is delusional if he thinks he is anywhere near ready for the NFL.
Leading the nation in passes defended. Is that a reflection of what other teams think of ATV's skills or did teams just really respect our run D?

Good choice. 99.9% of football players can benefit by going back to school. Taylor Mays, however, isn't one of them...wish he were going!!
