A few more letters
I was told UCLA has received the letters of intent from Long Beach Poly defensive back Stanjarivus McKay and Punahou (Honolulu) High tailback Dalton Hilliard.
I am told Hilliard's teammate, receiver Roby Toma, has not yet sent anything to UCLA. There is word he is flipping to Notre Dame.
toma is flipping!? im gonna hold back any thoughts i may or may not be having until i find out the official word on this.
i thought toma didnt even get offers from anywhere else? sounds fishy to me
he will ride t'eos coattails to wherever he goes...
I heard a rumor about that. Grrr!
Rivals only shows one other offer on the table for him, Army.

what a great day. UCLA gets a few much needed offensive linemen and even flips some others at the last minute. i do wonder though if the coaches over recruited at the DB position. by my count there was 7 who signed today. doesnt that seem like too many? especially with all the DBs who signed last year.

I would hope that Toma sticks around because we were one the first schools to offer him, but the opportunity to play with your best friend at the collegian level is hard to pass up. Getting the big guys up fron and thigpen was huge.
They are going to be miserable there! And wasn't Toma supposed to talk Te'o into UCLA, not the other way around?
If we get randall caroll will we rank higher than usc in recruiting class

carroll is scheduled for 6:30 i believe, and the sc game is at 7:30, yay =)
the fact that toma hasn't sent anything in is pretty indicative of his plans. don't all the hawaiian kids sign at the same time? this is weird cuz he was rockin a bruin hat at the press conference. and chow was the first guy to offer him before he had a great senior season. but ya snaggin carroll and thigpen will make up for it if he decides to igloo it. it aint hawaiian ice in south bend brah. hope he makes the right choice
Does anyone know why are the team rankings on Rivals.com and Scout.com are so different? You'd expect them to be somewhat different, but we're #16 on Rivals and #7 on Scout. That's a pretty big disparity. Is Rivals on the suc payroll or something?

Makes you wonder how close T'eo was to UCLA. If ND did not get Toma the offer (if true), would Te'o (and Toma)have been bruins.
There is also no doubt the offer to Toma from UCLA was also influenced by T'eo. Not that I think it was the only reason.
Rivals doesn't show a few guys like Hilliard or Thigpen as signed yet. I'm sure a lot of teams on both sites don't have everybody signed yet so I doubt we're really going to end up in the top 10...regardless, great day! This is a great group of kids to add to last year's class.
I wonder if these Hawai'ian kids have ever been to South Bend where it's currently 19 degrees (per Yahoo weather). Oh, and today in L.A. it's going to be in the mid-70's.
They have no concept of what that's like. I can't imagine living in snow coming from LA - and HI's weather is way better! I thought SF was too cold!
