Last-second commit

Jared Koster, a linebacker from Norco High, will sign a letter of intent this afternoon to play at UCLA. Koster was a Colorado State commit, but I was told UCLA wanted to keep this quiet.
I'm being told he will enter school in the summer and be with the program in the fall.
Koster is 6-foot-1, 215 pounds.

Is this a late reaction and plan B relating to Te'o's decision?

Brian,

Was there an offer on the table or is this a case of someone with an offer not committing (Sanders, for example) and there being an extra scholie available?

Man, I would have rather had Tim Tucker. Oh well. This guys only had 2 offers (CSU and Air Force).

Was wondering the same thing. Scout has him as a 2* unrated MLB. Says he has a 4.6 40.

Kind of a surprise--any further info on him?

Looks like the kid has some good speed, but not much else. We'll have to wait and see how this kid pans out. But hey, he's a Bruin now!

Dont understand this move by the coaching staff, but I am not willing to question it. They have done a pretty solid job thus far.
