Need for speed
UCLA needs speed, and Stonewall Jackson High (Manassas, Va.) coach Mike Dougherty said the Bruins are getting it with running back Damien Thigpen.
Dougherty relayed a story to me about former Washington Redskins defensive back Darrell Green running 4.36 seconds in the 40-yard dash "without stretching," and he said Green was the fastest guy he saw.
"Damien is lights-out speed," Dougherty said. "He's the two-time state defending champ in the 300 meter hurdles. It's over before he gets to the first hurdle."
Man that is great news, i wonder how he compares to Chris Rainey, Jeff Demps, and Noel Devine.
