I'd say the players would look like fools if they go over the wall. Dumb, dumb "tradition".

Maintain tradition without wasting a valuable spring practice day? Easy. Neu makes a deal with the players, where they go over the wall...and go right back in to practice. Or, go over the wall...at the end of practice, or with maybe 5 minutes to go. Good way to find out who the team leaders are.

Neuheisel says it's 5-2 against the fat behinds purge ever happening again on his watch. Any running off the field with tails between legs will now officially only happen during the regular season.

incorporate the "wall" as part of drills.. maybe something fun or challenging... then you get to keep tradition and improve your game!

It's one thing when the team has had some success in back to back years but coming off a 4-8 season and it's embarrassing. It embarrasses everyone who is associated with the program right down to us fans who can't help but love the team.

Those who've seen the Over The Wall Gang say they've never seen UCLA's bunch of fatties move so quickly except for when there was a table full of free cheese burgers and donuts at the end of one practice. Rumor has it the infamous UCLA Towel Waver was almost killed during that bull stampede for the free grub, and the burping and farting afterward was classic, reminiscent of Blazing Saddles. Maybe they should recruit some of those UCLA fatties for the basketball team - they could teach those pansies how to elbow and play defense so they won't get crushed in the Pac-10 Tournament and then again in the second round of the NCAA Tournament by a better-prepared and more talented Villanova team.
