The aftermath of UCLA and VCU
Here is the game story and the notebook I wrote off UCLA's 65-64 win over Virginia Commonwealth in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Also, here is something else UCLA freshman guard Jrue Holiday said about playing point guard.
"It's feeling comfortable, natural,'' Holiday said. "I think I could play the point guard, but it's just out there handling the ball. It doesn't have to be point guard.''

I really liked watching Holiday play the point. He truly is a very good enabler and has very good court vision.
Hey Brian - Any advice for those coming into Philly for tomorrow's game?
Thanks!
True, there were times yesterday where Collison was at point and Jrue still handled the ball and penetrated. I like that! Lakers do it all the time with Kobe. Pick and roll with the two gaurd baby. Get Nova!
OK Brian now I see why you are so high on Mr. Holiday,
that was Very, Very impressive!!
He is a much different player with the ball in his hands.
Let's hope he stays.
GO BRUINS kick some Villanova butt!!!
Collin, there are lots of things to do in Philly after the Bruins lose. Just consult your travel agent, not Dohn, and be sure to pick up a cheese steak or two.
Larry Sanders on VCU altered a ton of shots. Seemed like the Bruins missed a lot of lay-ups they normally would have made. Hopefully, Gordon can play tomorrow.
" However, the Rams (24-10) were left to wonder about what could have been after they missed the front end of one-and-ones four times. "
Yea, and we were left to wonder about what could have been after we missed 5 or 6 layups. Seriously, win by 11 instead of 1? Yes please.
