UCLA's run to be short?

| | Comments (4) |

It seems everyone is picking UCLA to lose to Virginia Commonwealth in today's first round of the NCAA Tournament. Here is a story I wrote about it in today's paper, as well as the notebook that ran in the paper.
And what does UCLA wing Josh Shipp think of everyone picking against the Bruins?
"For us, it really doesn't matter what people think of us,'' he said. "We believe in each other. We knew what we each are capable of, what this team is capable of. For the outsiders, if they don't believe, good for them."

Good for you Josh. It isn't about what other people think, it's about what our team can accomplish. Go Bruins!!

Are Joe and Josie Bruin related to Alfred E. Newman? Worried about VCU? Why would they be? The reward for beating VCU is a couple of softies in the next few rounds like Villanova and Duke who will be playing before a home crowd.
