Here is the 10th set:

are u getting a lil worn-out/jaded with ucla sports, or is it work in general? i dont sense the enthusiasm u once had.
Not at all. I may be a little tired since I’ve had about 15 days off since training camp started in August, but I feel fine and feel like I’m doing the same job. Do you see something different?

I like Stevie G as well as anyone and am rooting for Liverpool to win the EPL over Man U this year but, don’t you think Frank Lampard is the best middie in England, perhaps the world right now?
Being a supporter of the Reds precludes me from being able to recognize the aforementioned Chelsea player as being better than my beloved Stevie G, who, no doubt, would have led my Reds to a monumental comeback in the Champions League if some Chelsea witchdoctor didn’t do something to his groin.

If Kevin Prince (RsF) is our starting QB this year , don’t you think it is a bit premature to say he will better than a 6-6 record ?
Why? Prince is, by far, the best quarterback on the field this spring.

From what you know and hear , how are the Bruins doing with recruit Robert Woods (WR) from Serra HS ?
I hear different things about who leads, where he will go, and how much interest he has in UCLA. However, everyone seems to believe it will be a long time before he makes a decision. And by long time, I mean after the season.

Who are the first team and second team punt and kickoff returners right now ? Might it change in the fall ?
Terrence Austin is the first teamer for both, but UCLA really hasn’t worked on kickoff return much. As for the punt returners, Courtney Viney and Alterraun Verner are working out there as well, and Taylor Embree will factor in once fall rolls around, but he is out of contact because of shoulder surgery.

On the football defensive staff , who will be in the booth and who will be on the field during games this year ?
Not sure yet, but defensive coordinator Chuck Bullough said he would be on the field. I think that will get worked out over the summer.

What seems to be Kevin Craft’s issues in handling the offense and keeping him behind the other QB’s. Is it a lack of physical ability or the inability to grasp and process the offensive schemes?
Some of it is physical, especially with accuracy, and sometimes he makes the wrong reads.

If Holiday goes lottery, and does well in the league, does it make Howland look:
a) good, because it shows the NBA likes his players even when they don’t put up numbers, or
b) bad, because it suggests he doesn’t know how to utilize talent?
I don’t like either choice. What was Howland supposed to do this season. Take the ball out of Darren Collison’s hands? Collison was the starting point guard for two straight trips to the Final Four. Should Howland have sat him, or move him to off-guard, to play a freshman? And Holiday, while he struggled, is more capable of playing the two spot than Collison.
