Howland on Holiday's timetable

UCLA men's basketball coach Ben Howland said today he doesn't expect guard Jrue Holiday to make a decision on whether he will remain in the draft until June.
Holiday was plagued by tendinitis in his knees, so he wasn't working out much. He is now in Florida for a week working at IMG's academy to get ready for NBA workouts.
Howland said Holiday is not expected to work out for any teams until after the pre-draft camp in Chicago at the end of May.
So, a decision "probably won't be made until sometime in June," Howland said.
Holiday has until June 15 to pull his name of the draft and return to UCLA.

So much for the student part of student-athlete. He's off for a week to get ready for workouts.... Today was the last to drop non-impacted courses, so there's no remedy for him if he isn't cutting it. This one and done thing really gets to me - there's absolutely no incentive to actually being a student. I admire Collison, Aboya and Shipp for being true student-athletes. I know these guys are playing a system that they didn't create, but the NBA needs to think beyond itself and throw a bone to their free development league.
