Miller to Arizona
Not directly related to UCLA, but close enough. Xavier's Sean Miller is Arizona's new men's basketball coach. Any thoughts?

A huge rebuilding project ahead, they've already missed 3 recruiting classes. Why would anyone take this job?
I think this is a great opportunity for Sean Miller, but Arizona should have gone for a bigger name
Seems like a good x's and o's guy from his success...but will he be able to recruit to Arizona so quickly? I'm glad he's there instead of Floyd. If Jamie Dixon came to usc then competition in So Cal would have been much more tough.
Getting a contract for $2 Million per year, for seven years is a pretty good deal.
Can he recruit? Talent is a huge part of the equation and while he has done well in maximizing the talent at hand in the A-10, he didn't have access to the higher profile players - now he has to convince some of the blue chips to go to the desert to play for him. If he struggles the first couple of years (and hard to see how he wouldn't) it might be hard for AZ to continue to be relevant.
LOL, VB. Welcome back.
He has a huge task ahead of him at Zona. Question is, will they give him enough time to rebuild, or will he be out in 2 or 3 years? Zona fans will expect that program to be brought back to the top of the P10 (behind UCLA, of course.)
I hope he has a better personality than Lute Olson, one of the most arrogant people that I ever encountered while a school administrator.
I think ASU with Herb Sendek will provide UofA more competition than in the past too.
Also, I believe Arizona did offer every other big name they could find -- none accepted. I think Miller was probably #6 on the list.
Wonder if they could have gotten Tony Bennett?
Steve
Not big on a guy who apparently broke a long term extension at Xavier. Talk about alligator tears...
