I know it’s a football day, but men’s basketball coach Ben Howland talked about the potential development of center J’mison Morgan, who recently had surgery on his knee.
Howland said Morgan is “already very mobile” and was working hard with the medical staff. He is also lifting weights to strengthen his upper body.
“I expect his knee should be pretty good to go by June 1, if not sooner,” Howland said.
UCLA is expecting more tan 50 high school recruits at tonight’s game at the Rose Bowl, including Oaks Christian offensive lineman Erik Kohler and Loyola running back Anthony Barr.

As was mentioned yesterday, UCLA guard Jrue Holiday is working out at the IMG facilities in Florida for approximately a week. The idea is for him to get in shape before beginning workouts for NBA teams as he decides whether to remain in the draft or return for his sophomore season.
