UCLA has a 10-4 series lead against Kansas in basketball. The last time the teams met was in 2007, when UCLA beat Kansas 68-55 to earn a trip to the Final Four. UCLA plays Kansas Dec. 6 at Pauley Pavilion.

Today, Willie Banks – UCLA’s former world record holder in the long jump – will be inducted into the USC-UCLA dual track meet Hall of Fame. He was the first selection for the new hall of fame.

The Bruins will host the Jayhawks, who won the 2008 NCAA Tournament, Dec. 6 at Pauley Pavilion. The game is part of the Pac-10/Big 12 Hardwood Series. Last year, UCLA played at Texas in the hardwood series.

Frank Gansz Sr., a former UCLA assistant coach, has died. He is the father of UCLA assistant coach Frank
Gansz Jr.
He served as a Bruin assistant under Terry Doanhue in 1976 and
1977. Gansz was an assistant coach at SMU.
