No UCLA players were selected in the NFL draft. Aaron Perez, Brigham Harwell and some other Bruins will have to go the free agency route.

That hurts. If I were another Pac-10 coach I'd repeat that to every recruit that was considering both schools. Ouch.

Well, the eleven guys that USC had picked up will fill the quota for Los Angeles.

I thought for sure the Bengals were going to pick up Aaron Perez after all that talk about him. To add insult to injury, the last player picked in the draft was a kicker..

If I had any brains, I'd draft Perez immediately. At Denver's altitude, Perez would be kicking the ball over the stadium and into the parking lot. Also, I'd run Harwell at left DE in my new 3-4 D system. And then, I'd give Patrick Cowan a shot at QB. He's gotta be a better get than the Fresno State dude. Look what Pat did against SUC. He's got immense upside IMO. But, I am the Denver Broncos head coach, so what would I know?

That is really amazing because there are some good players who were coming out, to bad. But it does make me laugh at BN and there crowd.

I heard DT Brigham Harwell is in talks with the GM at Washington Redskins, If he plays for the Redskins Iam going out and buy my Redskins NFL hat and Jersey with his name on it. Oh Brian Dhon please, can you confirm if he is ???

pk-in-the-mesa,

That's funny because I have been laughing about your writing ability for a long time. There is no need to be jealous that the posters at BN can write and spell properly. Must be a trOJan thing.

Hey Brian, I hope Harwell does hook on with the Redskins and you get to go buy that gear - you'll like the colors. (lol)

No Steve, I didn't go to USC

So the mighty Bruin football program lays another goose egg. I thought we'd have to wait for the season to start to see that again.

It's starting to look pretty clearly like UCLA is never going to catch USC in football as long as Pete Carroll is there . He has otherworldly recruiting abilities.

21 players drafted in the last two years...that is unbelievable. Call it what you want...if you want to say they cheat, pay players, get them in when they don't qualify academically, whatever....it obviously doesn't have an effect on recruits because USC rakes them in.

They have such a giant lead over everyone else in the Pac-10 that until Carroll leaves or the NCAA does something (not gonna happen), USC will continue to steamroll us in football for the next generation.

I'm wondering if the Bruins will ever be nationally relevant in football again.

You would have fit right in.

Trojans can say what they want... but they bust more players than the LAPD do on Crenshaw. Fight on to mediocrity!

Sad for bRuins said:

Zero for the draft! That is going to hurt bRuin recruiting for sure.

Stanford had no picks in the draft, however the Cardinal players who will become doctors figure to collect more $$ and have less injuries than the trOJans

what was that score again from 2007?

Reggie who? Reggie Bust.

hahahahha

U$C players will have to take a cut in pay if they make an NFL roster. What is happening with Bush/Mayo investigations?

Reggie's bank account would like to thank you for all the kind words. Oh...and in breaking new, Ben Olsen signs a 3 year deal with IN-N-OUT burger.

VBs Cat said:

hahaha i love all these trolls. you say this is going to hurt recruiting, hahaha.

First off, those were Dorrell recruits.
Second have you seen our last 2 recruiting classes???

Trojans got 11 players drafted and still LOST to Oregon St....LOL!!!!!!

The draft is about how a program developes talent not HS recruiting classes. It is not about college wins or losses.

the trOJan draft picks couldn't help them win an NC

Jones-Drew is still outperforming Reggie Bust. so much for developing talent

Sandy Underpants said:

VBs Cat, USC lost one game last season. No BCS conference team went undefeated, and UCLA got blown out by pretty much everybody, I mean you guys lost 8 games, your worst season in school history. With the "offensive genius" Norm Chow and Rick Neu, you guys could only win 4 games! I think UCLA will be the one's sanctioned by the NCAA for paying players when this all shakes out. I mean how stupid can UCLA recruits be to pass up going to a real football program over remaining anyonymous in Westwood?

Bring back Dorrell. Bring back mediocrity, it's a lot better than what you got now.
