About the four transfers

| | Comments (6) |

In going through the questions this week, one thing I keep seeing is questions of whether running backs Raymond Carter and Aundre Dean, receiver Dominique Johnson and quarterback/receiver Chris Forier are going to transfer.
I know it was worded by UCLA that Dean and Forcier were given permission to seek a transfer, but it was announced by UCLA Johnson and Carter were transferring.
To clear it up, several of my sources told me the football program is moving forward without the four of them. In fact, while the team works out, I was told the four players are working out on their own, with Forcier throwing passes to the other three.

Bye. It happens with every new coach, it just proves these players were soft.

not a good idea to scrimmage against them. we might loose a few linemen to injury.

Why are they SOFT? Forcier isn't smart enough to get the playbook and Carter hasn't recovered from his injury. I don't think these guys deserve that rap.

For the other two, you can question Dean because he's supposed to have plenty of talent, and Johnson because he's never given a complete effort.

You can dump all the kids you want, but it nobody blocks we still won't win enought games.

I like the fact that there appears to be no animosity on either side with these transfers. Speaks volumes for the program, the coaches, and the players involved. I hope Forcier can find a school that's dedicated to the Spread and that Dean finds a program that doesn't rely on backs blocking for the QB. Carter and Johnson should do well in minor programs, because they DO have some talent. Good luck to all of them, and now...move on, folks.
