Here is set No. 3:

Welcome Back Brian! Do you think the coaching staff (football) is at all worried they only have one commit for the 2010 class?
Not at all. The staff's philosophy is to slow play guys. I expect a lot more action in recruiting once UCLA hosts its camps next week.

Not much was mentioned of Rahim Moore during spring ball. How would you evaluate his spring? Are more plays expected from him?
He had a very good spring, but I didn't write much about him (I did do a feature on the secondary) because he is a proven commodity, and I was looking at unanswered questions most of the spring. I would think he will make a lot more plays because of his comfort level after spending a year as a starter.

By all accounts, Jrue really seems to be impressing scouts playing the PG position. Do you think Howland has any regrets in his use of Jrue this past season?
I don't think so. Howland was in a tough spot because he wasn't about to take the ball out of Collison's hands and give it to a freshman.

New Pauley, same old story. Seats too far away from the court. Can anything be done about this, or is it too late in the renovation process to do anything now?
Ground hasn't even been broken, so it is not too late. I just don't know what the alternative is, other than building a new place to play. The footprint of Pauley and limited space around it makes it a very tough place to overhaul.

Is there a contingency plan for Jared Koster or other recruits who have signed LOI's to greyshirt in order for UCLA to get within the 85 player scholarship limit?
There are always plans, but it will not come to that. First, UCLA only needs to clear another scholarship or two, and I know of three signees that could become academic casualties.

Does the ongoing USC investigation have any influence on UCLA's football recruiting strategy by not accepting early commitments? i.e. potential SC sanctions?
No, I don't believe so. At least, that has never come up in any discussions I've had with anybody else.

Since UCLA is over the schlorship limit in football, what steps can CRN take to achieve the limit.
He is already taking those steps. Guys aren't transferring because they all of a sudden do not like UCLA.

Wanted to let you know there is a beer from Rogue Brewing in Oregon called Northwestern Ale with a picture of Sig Hansen on the bottle. Quality beer, BTW.

Awesome. Next time I am there, I will be sampling the local ale. Now, if someone wants to be a doll and send some my way, I can provide an address. Just email me.

Which 3 signees are potential academic casualties?

Brian, you answered CRN is already taking steps to reduce the scholies, but you didn't say what steps. I understand players do not like where they are on the depth chart, so they leave, but is there anything else CRN can do?
