I am hearing running back Aundre Dean is looking at Texas Christian, Texas A&M, Baylor and Iowa as possible transfer destinations.

I hope he changes his mind and decides to fight for his place. He has a greater possibility for more glory and definitely a better education by staying at UCLA.

Gee, did any of the head coaches from these schools promise Aundre that he would be starting when he's eligible as some of his friends have claimed Neu did?

OMG I missed you Dohn.

If I were him, I'd hit A&M if they'll take him. They're familiar with Dean from his high school recruiting, the head coach has NFL experience & connections, he'd be playing in a major conference, and he'd be much closer to home.

So good to have you back Dohn.

I think Dean could be good for Baylor, with Griffin as their starting QB they need a running back to take some of the pressure off him and if Dean continues to develop then who's to say he wouldn't be that guy.

u forgot to mention one of dean's choices:

choose to grow some and compete for the starting spot where he's already at

*sigh*

What the HECK are you guys talking about, trying to convince him to go elsewhere? Instead of wasting a year elsewhere. I hope he stays and works through it. With R. Carter leaving, the depth chart is dwindling and you never know what can happen on the field.

Dean doesn't want to comPETE. With that O-line, who can blame him for catching the first bus out of town.

I agree that dean should stay. His ability would help create a more competitive atmosphere. However if his mind is not ready to compete then he needs to move on. We need competitors not cry babies or prima donas.

Aundre reminds me of a RB I had a few years back; lotsa show but little go. He seems to lack the mindset to get with a system that demands more than show-boating. As Coach Norm has said over and over again: To be a running back in the NFL you gotta have explosive power, great vision, patience to allow the holes to develop, and the ability and willingness to BLOCK. Gotta protect the QB.

This is just another example of what occurs when there is a regime change. If you're not the new regime's guy then sign some where else, every time.

Ever since Aundre Dean came, it seems as though he's walking on the fence. His emotions are up and down, the Bruins need players with the mind-set of competing every day and be ready to play at a-drop-of-a-dime, sort of like with the Patrick Cowan attitude, and Andre Dean does not have that. Hopefully Dean will do better playing closer to his home in Texas.

Umm, Coach, Dean is just trying to play in college right now, not the League.

More interested in playing football than his education. He got himself into UCLA, one of the finest schools in the country, and he's going to give it up to go home to Houston to play football? Good luck to him and his mom.

joan, for one...you're wrong about dre because i know him personally and ill tell you from a personal standpoint that hes as smart as he is good at foootball...he is outstanding at his studies as well as his accomplishments in football...do not knock him because you happen to think that UCLA is the best school in the country, maybe its one of them but there are alot of good schools in the country but your bias opinion thinking ucla is the best just like i think university of texas is the best has no merit on where he goes and the calibur of school he decides to go to, assuming he doesnt stay there. him going home is not giving up. instead, its him doing what he needs to do in order to be comfortable in his surroundings annd being within driving distance of his family instead of 2000 miles away. whats the harm in wanting to be able to see your family, go to school, do what he loves and be happy? tell me that....
