With all this new Pauley and big price increases talk, I am curious what was UCLA's average attendance at Basketball games last year? How many sell outs were there?

Hey Brian, there's been rumors flying around about more players transferring out of UCLA, players other than Dean, Forcier, and Raymond Carter. Can you confirm these rumors? How much damage do you think this will have in recruiting & overall depth? Good to have you back!

Did Dean ever make any comment to you concerning Neu promising him the starting position as a soph during his recruitment?

As a journalist, why do you think outside entities like Yahoo Sports and ESPN break the news on the football and basketball scandals at USC, while the local tv and print media never seems to do any original reporting or investigating?

Brian - Did you check or ask if Warner was able to provide UCLA with an UNOFFICIAL Transcript? Obviously it is what it is, but if that was provided, I would think (hope???) it could save alot of time when the OFFICIAL copy arrives.

I'm sure that this is a popular question, but with Jrue Holiday expected to be a top 10 or lottery pick, why hasn't he hired an agent yet? Isn't he considering the recruiting damage he's creating for UCLA?

It seems that Jrue Holiday is shooting up the draft boards. My Sacramento Kings are brining him in for a workout(I'd LOVE to have him in Sac) and Doug Gottlieb of ESPN has him going to the Thunder. What do u think? He's gone isn't he?

(1) Why can the SEC/Big Ten pluck recruits out of the west, but the Pac-10 seems to recruit more on a regional level?

(2) In your estimation, does this staff enjoy the rigors of recruiting more so than the previous staff?

(3) What's your feeling on a kid - especially in college - refusing to talk to the media - does he have that right and does it negatively impact how you would write a story about him?

Do you think the transfers will have a negative effect on recruiting this year? Or is it just the name of the game and an example of CRN raising the bar on talent?

Do these transfers hurt, or are they an inevitable by-product of better recruiting and are thus signs of overall program improvement?

When the Reggie Bush story first broke, I jokingly said that the NCAA will get so made at SUC that they will put the basketball team on probation. Now that looks like it might happen. Your thoughts on the Yahoo stories and any impact on UCLA?

Is there a definitive story to be told about Jrue's short UCLA tenure? It's obvious it didn't work the way either side hoped, and I get the feeling that there's much that's gone unsaid about the situation.

Why do we only have one commit when so many other schools (like even cal) have a lot of them? It's not like we haven't offered a lot of guys.

Why was CRamirez named starter with so little apparent competition? What has CR done to impress the coaches?

I never took any classes in journalism, but am curious to know if the level of scrutiny/fact checking that is required before running a story is different for sports reporting versus other stuff (politics, business etc.)?
