UCLA and Rutgers
I know someone asked this recently, and wanted to let everyone know that, yes, UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel is talking to Rutgers about a home-and-home series. Neuheisel recently spoke with Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti about it.
I know this is not something that will happen in the next year or two, but is more down the road.

Dohn will be expected to recuse himself from covering these games if and when they take place...
Assuming that you and this blog are still here when it happens, will you have to recuse yourself from reporting on that game? I'm not questioning your professionalism, but you've mentioned repeatedly that you're not a fan of UCLA and that helps you report objectively on the team. Having Rutgers involved would make it tough to be objective, I would imagine. I know I couldn't report on a UCLA game without at least subconsciously favoring the Bruins, but I'm not a professional reporter.
And I'm sure there will be no end to the requests for a friendly wager between you and those of us who follow this blog leading up to the game. I can see it now: Rutgers wins, the UCLA blog goes red; UCLA wins you have to change your picture to one with you in a UCLA hat.
If this happens it shows that Dohn really has some clout.
Got me by two minutes Sleepy. Well played...
First of all, I was kidding.
Secondly, Dohn is a pro. I have no doubt he would do a professional job covering the game(s).
Third, even if Dohn wrote a Rutgers-biased, anti-UCLA homer article (which he wouldn't), it would be nothing new to Bruins, most of whom have been reading the LA Times for years.
I would like to see Dohn do some trash talk to us on the blog leading up to the game. I know he is a professional and it wont be anything bad or too much, but i wouldnt mind reading a jab here and there before the games... cause you know he wont be able to talk trash after the scarlet knights get the butt kicked!
I'm sure if Troy Aikman can call a Dallas Cowboys game with objectivity, so can Dohn with a UCLA-Rutgers game
I've been coaching since Nellie was a milk maid, and I've got one question:
who is rutgers?
