FAIL. This is bound to be a disaster. They could never post anything there politically correct enough for anyone to want to read it.

Wow, that..uh...looks awful.

My general opinion is that a blog should be run by an individual - or group of individuals - that only has a loose affiliation with the university.

An 'official' blog that's only posted to by one or two SID employees is bound to be a disaster, because it's not going to be the focus of their efforts. Ergo, it will be a mish-mash of press-releases and poorly strewn together sentences.

What! No comments section on that new blog? What will VB and UB do!

Where is the "typo police" on that official blog?

Wasn't "what's bruin" the name of the LA Times blog?

The blog has a lot to live up to.

Thank goodness YODA is a UCLA fan! I agree that the UCLA blog is pretty boring and written by someone who is not familiar with how to operate a top of the line blog - like Brian Dohn!

Do you really expect that we'll get unbiased and interesting information from it? I appreciate any effort, but I come to this blog for information that the university couldn't possibly print.

Just curious, anyone know if SUC has a similar school run blog - other than Scott Wolf's ;o)?

Yeah, Southern Cal does. It's called USC Rips it - as much as I'm not a fan of the school, that blog is an example of how a blog should be run and posted from an official perspective. It's got great inside peeks and snippets about the program - see the entry on Kris Richard looking at OSU game film, for example, and it gives you an idea of the night and day difference.

since speaking of blogs we are, recall early comments about the above Bruin Bear picture.

the hypnotized gaze, the strange lips, the eerie mouth agape, pronouncing the letter L perhaps? disturbing it is.

too late to change, it is not.
