About Inside UCLA
This is Brian Dohn's sixth season covering UCLA after spending 4 1/2 years covering the Dodgers for the Daily News and other Los Angeles Newspaper Group papers. He graduated from Rutgers, where the first college football game was played in 1869. Sure, the Scarlet Knights suffered for a long time, but now RU is doing what Jerseyans always thought was possible. Winning at Rutgers also proves winning is possible everywhere else in the nation, so underachieving coaches better be careful. Now, if only men's hoops can turn it around.About this Entry

go DC!
Ben Howland has his teaching moment for future Bruins tempted by hype and agents.
Really surprised Johnny Flynn and Tyler Hansbrough went so high.
he's outside of the lottery... what does that say about jrue's inexperience and lackluster numbers...? at least he'll be on a playoff team!?
Jrue Holiday deserves this wha a dumb move he made
Very classy to knock a teen-ager who decided to try his luck as a pro player after giving everything he had for the school. Is this what UCLA is about? You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
Hey my name is Bruin Justice and I am a boner
It would be sweet if Holiday landed with the Lakers. I doubt he'll be around that late...
So he went 17th...if he would have stayed in school he could have been top 5! Wish nothing but the best for him though, afterall he is a Bruin.
He's still a millionaire. Don't hate.
Holiday goes #17 to the 76ers
Did you even read anything I said? Or are you just typing out with your @ss!
i'm not knocking on him... if i'm drafting someone, inexperience and lackluster numberswould be question marks for me--hence, him dropping to 17. i think he's a great player and will rise to baron davis status in five years or less. i just think had he stayed one year and ran the point he'd have easily increased his stock and been top five a'la westbrook. but yeah, he's loaded now and should be a great nba player.
*For the grammar police*
I would like to take this moment to strike the "out" of my second sentence.
My sentiments exactly scott.
He gave everything he had for the school? IF what he gave us this past year WAS everything he had, he's not going to last longer than his first contract...Which would make this an incredibly SMART move on his part.
DC at 21...good stuff, he will do well because he is a hard worker.
Two Bruins going in the first round for the second straight year - thank you Ben Howland!
I read on ESPN that he may have dropped that low because he sustained an injury to his shoulder during the workouts and many teams didn't want to take a chance on him.
DeMar DeRozman at #9
D-E-R-O-Z-A-N DeRozan.
The OJs don't even know their own players' names.
