A QB offer
UCLA's coaching staff wanted to see the quarterbacks during its one-day camp before deciding on a direction, and the play of quarterback Taylor Graham of Wheaton (Ill.) North must have been enough for him.
The 6-foo-4, 190-pound Graham received a scholarship offer from UCLA.

hey brian, any chance we can get a full report on who looked impressive and who didn't at the ucla one day camp in your opinion? obviously not all 200 campers but just the ones you thought stood out...thanks for all your hardwork!
Brian - Aside from being from Wheaton, a QB, 6-4, 190 pounds, WHO IS TAYLOR GRAHAM? What was so impressive about the guy? What differentiated him from the others, and who were the others? What did he do that the others didn't seem to do? Why does UCLA like him so much?
Who is Tayler Graham? - here is your answer

Are you saving your post on what you saw at the camp for an even slower sports day in Westwood?
Brian,
I know it's not answer Friday yet. But, if you could retouch on the subject of what campers were ultimately affected by the SAT and Track Meet conflict and were therefore not able to attend? Basically, what was the damage?
Additionally, if you could give us a report on how good this DT Julious Moore commit is and do you and/or the staff see him as somebody with significant upside? I haven't heard much about him.
Finally, could you give us an indication of who has more influence with regards to the QB offers, CRN or Chow? Meaning, if Chow really likes somebody, but CRN might like somebody else, does CRN defer to him? Or are they on the same page. I think last year you intimated that Chow liked Brehaut more than Nunes, and as a result we ultimately offered Brehaut.
It seems that it is kind of slow with regards to recruiting right now and that these topics would be good fillers.
Thanks.
Kind of a risky offer, isn't it, given that he's a Midwest kid? Unless the coaching staff has some kind of assurance that he'll accept the offer, we're in limbo, unable to offer other QBs, until he decides. Seems to me the fact he's from the Midwest makes it somewhat less likely that he'll accept and play so far from his family. Be interesting to see how this plays out.
A personal situation arose that prevented me from attending the camp.
Hope everythings ok Dohn. :(
Taylor Graham is the son of former NFL qb Kent Graham. He's a big strong kid with upside, sometimes the ones that dont have the hype turns out to be the best ones, ala Ben olson/Tom Brady.
PR's link notes that Norm Chow stopped by Graham's HS a few weeks ago to view film and chat up the coach.
If you go to ESPN's recruiting site (or any of the premium sites) and search his name to find video of him, his throwing style and mechanics remind me a bit of the San Diego Chargers' Phillip Rivers...as far as first impressions go.
In short, Norm must have seen something he liked.
Chow coached Phillip Rivers at NC State, and loved him if I remember correctly
His father Kent Graham contacted Neuheisel. So seems like they like UCLA and Norm Chow.
No wonder I didn't see Brian at camp. I was looking for him. :-)
Any 2011 prospects that stood out?
Since the staff likes Graham and offered him I hope he commits and has a successful career at UCLA.
Am I the only person who finds it odd that Neuheisel/Chow are again recruiting a senior season injured qb with the Bruins line troubles? If it works out for Prince (and later Graham) then great but I think the Bruins are going to go through two or three quarterbacks again this year.
