Future UCLA football camps
UCLA just hosted its three-day football camp, but UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel is looking to change the format in the future to a model being used at many other schools.
From what I'm hearing, the idea is to have a Big-man camp one day, perhaps a Skills camp another day and so on. It would be similar to how USC handles its camps, and would give the staff a better chance to evaluate talent on campus.
However, money could be an issue. The three-day camp is used to supplement the salaries of the assistant coaches, but themed camps would not produce nearly as much revenue. It means UCLA would have to come up with an alternate money source (like boosters helping to pay salaries) before moving forward.

"The three-day camp is used to supplement the salaries of the assistant coaches" Wow. I just find that so far to imagine.
Two star recruit this, Spaulding Field turf that.
Time for the whiners to put their money where their mouths are.
how do they make money? the recruits have to pay for admission or something??
Most of the players spend more than $300 for the three-day camp.
That is interesting. I would have never guessed the recruits would have to pay.
So why not charge $100 to $200 per prospect per day? C'mon, I'm sure there is a simple solution. How much do there guys make pn camps a year? It has to be a small portion of their compensation.
